At Tide & Pearl, we offer a variety of pieces crafted from stainless steel, sterling silver, and brass, each with their own unique beauty and care needs.

• “Make a Splash” Collection features selected items made from high-quality stainless steel with premium gold finishes that are water-resistant. These are perfect for everyday wear they can handle splashes, workouts, and those moments when life gets a little messy.
• For long swims, ocean dips, or heavy water exposure, we recommend removing your jewelry to keep it looking its best. While these pieces are designed to resist tarnishing from water and sweat, they are not fully "waterproof" in the technical sense used for dive watches or marine gear.
• Pieces made sterling silver, brass or includes string or silk work are more delicate and should be kept away from water to maintain their shine and avoid tarnishing or color changes over time.
  

We’re always working on expanding our waterproof collections, but for now, think of us as “water-friendly with care” perfect for living in, but a little TLC goes a long way.

• For our water resistant pieces, dry your jewellery after swimming or sweating
• Avoid direct sprays of perfume or hairspray on your pieces.
• Store them in a dry place when not in use.
• A quick wipe with a soft cloth keeps them shining bright

Most of our jewelry is crafted from high-quality stainless steel or 925 sterling silver, both of which are nickel-safe, tarnish-resistant, and will not turn your skin green. These pieces are designed for everyday wear and stay shining with minimal care.

We do have select designs made from brass with a gold finish, which will be clearly stated in the product description. Due to the natural properties of brass, these pieces may develop a patina over time and could leave a slight green tint on the skin, especially with moisture or sweat. It’s completely harmless and washes off easily.

If you'd like to avoid this, we recommend:

• Removing brass items before swimming ot heavy workouts.
• Applying a clear nail polish layer on the inside surface to create a protective barrier.
